Description

“This photo story of my brother includes 4 pieces following the process of him tying his dastaar (turban). I focused the meaning of the story around a quote, which is seen in the second photograph. One’s identity, whether it be their appearance, race, sexuality etc. can often be the source of discrimination against him or her. This piece reflects another more positive aspect of what a strong identity brings. Like the quote by Richard Grant says, ‘The value of identity is that so often with it comes purpose.’”
